It's a piece of cherry I got in Italy. A big thick nearly 2 inch thick plank that I had them cut into panels but forgot to take into account the saw blade and I found out after it was cut that it left me with only 1cm thick boards. So why they carve just fine they warp when they're damp. SO I have to work on keeping both sides damp while I work.
